LET IT GROW

You reap what you sow

It is a process where you never plan your painting, instead, you catch your feeling and paint it.

I usually ask myself a few questions - what kind of color is my feeling, how can I describe it in lines, forms, and symbols?

The roots can be found in tribal and folk art, and mehndi art. Flower Folk art flower motifs and henna (mehndi) flower designs share similar symbolic roots.

I can describe it as symbolic talking true the flowers - floriography.

All flowers hold different meanings, often based on the type of flower, the colour of the flower, or both. And floriography is the art of communicating through different flower types.

Symbolic and mythical thinking in folk art flower painting is deeply connected to cultural beliefs, seasonal cycles, and spiritual worldviews. Flowers are not painted just for their beauty—they often carry layers of meaning tied to mythology, protection, fertility, and femininity.

Mythical thinking and storytelling. Many folk art styles integrate narrative scenes where floral patterns frame or echo mythological stories, especially tales of love, loss, or transformation.

Often seen as feminine forms of expression.

Since I work with feelings, my painting material is light and transparent, which represents something gentle and fleeting.
